Does anyone have the last 88 gig, Edingburgh Playhouse? Would love to hear that one.

I was looking through Esmarks site and the recording might be a different night. I think I remember reading Mick got sick halfway through the Tighten Up tour. Which also goes with Mick's remarks about it being 3 years since he'd been to the Town and Country club on the 89 show Seb uploaded a while ago. According to Esmarks listings, they had Town and Country planned but had to cancel due to the illness. Makes you wonder what else they had planned.

Alright, I have three contributions to the BAD Restoration Campaign. Hopefully these are new to someone.

Heres one that I haven't seen around here. A gig from 1986 at the Edinburgh Queen Hall. Judging by other sets around at the time, Beyond the Pale might be missing.

This one comes from the reunion tour in 2011. This is Davo's first gig at Bournemouth. Audio is taken from a video of the full show. A few weird cuts after songs.

This last one comes from Brixton Academy in 1987. Rough sound, and Beatbox, E=MC2, and 1999 cut out. I'm assuming thats how it is, hopefully not a problem on my end. This gig does have the one-off "Return of the Great Consumer"

Enjoy guys. Anyone have the 88 Edinburgh?

Jesus, Mick sounds really good here. Almost Bradford good. My theory is that this gig is about 4-6 days before Mick went down with his illness.

Edit. Wow. The Born to Be Wild drop caught me off guard, that was really funny.

Is it just me or does this seem to be running a bit fast?

Yeah it is a bit fast and a bit high in pitch.

Really appreciate the upload BB. I have noticed from these BAD gigs, that as a live band, they were more together than the Clash. I suppose its the Clash attitude of being more spontaneous and "out of control."

Very true. Its my never ending personal battle between who I like more, BAD or the Clash.

I noticed this one has a link but its not working. The fact its an FM source intrigues me.

Yeah i have it somewhere
the sound is correct but the problem is that 2 guys (from the radio) speaks during the tracks
so you can't have the track entirely

Hmm, I'll pass on that one. Unless you've already started work on it. Out of what you have, what is the best gig to you? That one I'd like to hear.

Listening the the Edinburgh gig, it varies spectacularly from excellent (Beatbox) to terrible (Rock Non Stop) within the space of the first two songs. Aside from the latter song, Mick is on pretty great form vocal-wise.
