1 Sugar Kane
2 Dissapearer
3 I've Got A Catholic Block
4 Becuz
5 Cross The Breeze
Ok 1 pick per album could easily do a Top 20 for Sonic Youth

Somebody was trying to tell me that CDs are better than vinyl because they don't have any surface noise. I said, "Listen, mate, "life" has surface noise."

A band that like but at the same time I'm not very familiar with their catalog. Something to investigate.
I do like Kool Thing and I have an old cassette of Goo somewhere. ..

Some modestly fun songs, and obviously some sex appeal, but I honestly never could figure out what the big deal was with this band. Do they just get all you old-timers horned up or something?
I don't turn the dial when one of their songs comes on the radio, but I can't imagine ever purposely seeking them out.

Every once in a while, you make sense. If not for MTV, I can't imagine they'd ever have gone anywhere.Flex wrote: ↑28 Apr 2017, 3:41pmSome modestly fun songs, and obviously some sex appeal, but I honestly never could figure out what the big deal was with this band. Boy, Hazy and Walk are the only 2 I'd leave the station for.

Re: Heston and Marky's Friday Top 5
Yep I only like The Bangles because of their sex appeal. It has nothing to do with them being good pop song writers or good musicians. I think their cover of "Hazy Shade of Winter" is superb and far better than the original. If all you've heard is a couple of their hits then it's your loss. But hey each to their own. Bloody youngsters!Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑28 Apr 2017, 4:01pmEvery once in a while, you make sense.
