It's even better on video
I never thought to look for video, but you're right—it's hilariously horrible.

Listened to the new album again today - these old dudes can do this shit in their sleep but still make you feel like it's party time RIGHT NOW. Nice to see they're doing two songs per night from 'Blue & Lonesome' on the current Euro tour.

Love this one. A real menacing feel to it.

Really great track The Damned do a great cover of this on their Friday the 13th Ep. They were originally going to cover the whole album shame it got scrapped.

I always wished the Damned did cover Satanic Majesties, would have been pretty cool, as for Citadel, wonder why the Stones have never played it live

I love Citadel more than ice cream
We reach the parts other combos cannot reach
We beach the beachheads other armies cannot beach
We speak the tongues other mouths cannot speak

The curious things that just pop into one's head with no prompting.

Hello,

His films are hilarious. This is so dry and funny! Mick must be rolling over with laughter.

This little b-side from the 'Voodoo Lounge' album is slinky, nasty, sweet, tender, reflective and libidinous. Great spazzy slide from Woody and Charlie puncuates like he really, really wants peeps to dance/make love/have sex. A tall order for a minor latter-day Stones throwaway.

I think the Voodoo Lounge period of the Stones was fantastic, they had a really good album and then a shitload of great B sides on top of it. This being one along with The Storm, So Young, and I'm Gonna Drive. If you are interested you can find pretty easily the outtakes from the album which have great studio takes of Keith singing a 10 minute version of You Got Me Rockin and a great 10 minute version of the Storm.

Really their last high point for me. The Fully Stripped collection has their 1995 club gigs put together and is shit hot.

From 'Bridges to Babylon' (1997). Great funky r&b groove, typically bizarre/nonsensical video. Emotional distance and musical intimacy has always been the bands calling card.
