I thought "Living in a Ghost Town" was pretty cool also.

Living in a Ghost Town, yeah that one didn't really move me so much, I was really diggin on the bonus tracks from Tattoo You reissue, actually all the reissues that came with bonus tracks were good. I also kinda liked Doom and Gloom. I'm really looking forward to the new album.

Just that Biden gets knocked for being ancient, while McCartney is praised for still being youthful. It's an interesting contrast.

Macca doesn't have to give policy speeches or speak extemporaneously with the press. I suspect most of who we view as "vibrant" (ish) elderly public figures would lose a lot of their luster if they had to undergo the same level of scrutiny and public interaction as the president of the United States.WestwayKid wrote: ↑07 Sep 2023, 11:06amJust that Biden gets knocked for being ancient, while McCartney is praised for still being youthful. Yeah I don't even expect McCartney to make good music. My bar for him is super lowFlex wrote: ↑07 Sep 2023, 11:09amMacca doesn't have to give policy speeches or speak extemporaneously with the press. Plus McCartney plays all those old, familiar songs that help his audience feel younger. He's working a seam that is about selling an emotional illusion and benefits from that.Flex wrote: ↑07 Sep 2023, 11:09amMacca doesn't have to give policy speeches or speak extemporaneously with the press.
