Don Letts Social Classics Volume 3

Post by dave202 »

I'd forgotten about Social Classics Volume 3: Dread Meets B-Boys Downtown - The Hip Hop Sound Of New York 81-82, and had a look for it. Amazon have it, used at £188, plus p&p, and even e-bay works out about £30. Is it worth the latter?

Could you build the tracklisting yourself? Even to buy them individually from iTunes?

I've been playing his dub reggae collection for about 10 years, it's excellent.

Really looking forward to listening to this one. How much do you reckon Letts would have made off writing a list of great songs down and sending them off to a PA to get permission to use them? Not a bad racket if you've got a respected name.

Hello,

Thanks again, Marky! I had this a while back but it went missing a few computers ago.
