So when I interviewed Pearl for the Clash 2 doc, she mentioned that the Clash played on one of her albums and that she downplayed their input so the focus would be on her (not in a bad way, she wrote/co-wrote all the material, so it wasn't like Foley's album).
Anyway, does anyone know what album this is? I assumed it was Don't Follow Me, but allmusic lists different credits (https://www.allmusic.com/album/release/ ... 0001588532). She had an album in 83 as well, but that seems like an unlikely candidate. If it was Don't Follow Me, when were the studio sessions? It doesn't sound as distinctly S! as Ellen's album, so I'm not sure if it was in the same run.

Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

As Gil says mate. But Paul and his brother also play on her later stuff along with other clash known associates.matedog wrote: ↑29 Jun 2018, 8:00pmSo when I interviewed Pearl for the Clash 2 doc, she mentioned that the Clash played on one of her albums and that she downplayed their input so the focus would be on her (not in a bad way, she wrote/co-wrote all the material, so it wasn't like Foley's album).
