I've come across someone calling Butler the "Son of Rotten" before, but adding a little Bowie to the batter makes even more sense.
The Furs were often stated as the missing link between Bowie and the Pistols.
Huh. The More You Know!
Bowie was a fan of the Furs. The Furs management even planned on getting Bowie to produce their "Forever Now" album if my memory is correct.
They had more cachet at the time than I knew!
Says the video is broken.

I break most things.

It was Richard Butler talking to DJ Billy Sloan about meeting Bowie at a Furs gig at Hurrahs, New York. Bowie was with David Johansen and David Byrne. Bowie and Byrne were joking with one another as to which one of them should produce The Furs.
