Some swell chap uploaded this gig from the last Twins tour. If you're like me, you're not really into the last couple of Twins albums, but this boot is heavy with immeasurably superior versions of those cuts. Obvious to me that the dreaded "self-production" demon was the culprit at work here. The band is here kicks it Treasure style and Liz rips it up in her contralto, with only bits of that wispy mezzo that ruined those late-period tracks for me. Plus no 94 style Yokoisms. Sorry for the annoying separate uploads, but it wasn't me. Bonus- the unreleased Touch Upon Touch

I've always thought she sounded like a distressed dolphin on those shows, but Yoko ain't bad either. Do you have a date for this—just in case I already have this.IkarisOne wrote:Some swell chap uploaded this gig from the last Twins tour. 5/28/96. Distressed dolphin works for me too. Shame that she was losing her marbles the same time they were getting the most exposure.

Got the show already—many thanks, tho. And, yes, it's a damn tragedy that someone of her talent was hit by mental illness. The Twins showed no signs of overstaying their welcome when she pulled the plug.IkarisOne wrote:Dr. Medulla wrote:I've always thought she sounded like a distressed dolphin on those shows, but Yoko ain't bad either. Thank you very, very much Chris. My sister is a big Cocteau Twins fan and she will be tickled pink to get this!
Is there album art for this somewhere?
