I like his solo stuff so I'm a fan. He plays Pistols Rich Kids and other covers in his set. I disagree with Doc (but get his view totally) I think hearing GStQ and Pretty Vacant acoustic is fun. I've heard the originals a million plus times and you can't beat them anyway. I've seen Glen solo and with his bands The Philistines and The International Swingers always enjoyed the gigs. You'll get Sex Pistols numbers but just don't expect the Sex Pistols.
So what's your concert schedule looking like?

As a friend and supporter of The International Swingers, I ask that this link not be shared. People should buy the CD.Marky Dread wrote: ↑24 Jul 2017, 3:54pmI like his solo stuff so I'm a fan. Here's The International Swingers album for some good old rock n' roll. Features Glen on bass, James Stevenson (Chelsea/Gen X) on guitar, Gary Twinn (Twenty Flight Rockers) vocals/guitar, and the ever brilliant Clem Burke (Blondie) drums.

Also, Glen's solo stuff is great.

On Saturday, I attended the debut gig of BAD tribute band, Beatbox At Dawn. I enjoyed it.

Well I of course did buy the CD. But as it offends you I've removed the link.BR16ADE_R055E wrote: ↑25 Jul 2017, 2:01amAs a friend and supporter of The International Swingers, I ask that this link not be shared. Just got tickets for the Kim Deal-less Pixies in October for VH, jr. and myself. I am determined not to let the Jortsville (and his dad) influence his music taste.
Got a Rake? Sure!

Just got tickets to see John Cale perform VU and Nico 50th anniversary, from the clips of the Paris show it looks like it could be hit or miss but I still want to see it.

Re: So what's your concert schedule looking like?
In a couple weeks I have a Saturday/Sunday concert two-fer. 26th is Reggae on the Rocks (reggae/ska at Red Rocks) and 27th is The Lumineers at Fiddler's Green.
Reggae on the Rocks:
-Judge Roughneck (aka Nevill Staple) - WOOHOO
-Inner Circle - not super familiar, but should be fine
- Fishone - FUCK YEAH
-Mighty Mighty Bosstones - FUCK YEAH X INFINITY
-Sublime with Rome - wait, what? Headliners?
The Lumineers:
The Cave Singers - No idea
Andrew Bird - I'll be that guy in the audience hoping he does a bunch of Squirrel Nut Zippers songs
The Lumineers - This is the gf's pick for a concert. She puts up with a lot of my music bullshit. Whatever, these guys are fine. Local Colorado boys made good, I guess.

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead
Pex Lives!

I'm more of a Jeff Bridges fan. Lloyd was great too.

Just showed "Airplane" to VH, jr. over the weekend...and by golly, you are right.

I'm going to An Evening With Glen Matlock at a small community hall in Tayport. Although the ticket states that the doors open at 7:30pm, he can't set up his PA until eight, as a pilates class is on!
