Yeah, I kinda slept on it for a long time but my current girlfriend loves Dead Boys and it finally clicked. It was a thrill watching him play those licks in the flesh. He seemed sober and jovial as well. The place was packed with aging punks who probably work in advertising now haha!Flex wrote: ↑07 Jun 2017, 11:19amThat sounds great. Young Loud and Snotty is such a good record.threecoffins wrote: ↑07 Jun 2017, 10:47amRecently saw Cheetah Chrome and Jimmy Zero perform Young Loud and Snotty in its entirety. They even had a fabulously skinny guy in a Johnny Thinders mullet doing a credible job on vocals. It's was pretty awesome considering how hit and miss these things can be.
So what's your concert schedule looking like?

WHAT! I've seen Cheetah do a Dead Boys set with Streetwalkin' Cheetahs a few times, but never with Zero.threecoffins wrote: ↑07 Jun 2017, 12:18pmYeah, I kinda slept on it for a long time but my current girlfriend loves Dead Boys and it finally clicked. He used the same guitarist from that band, but I guess Jimmy has lived in Toronto for years so they did a handful of Canadian dates to celebrate the 40th of YL&S. Was a privilege for sure!tepista wrote: ↑07 Jun 2017, 12:39pmWHAT! Could be fun to be a complete jerk and just sing "Wonderwall" to every song.

I was referencing that terrible CBGB movie where Ron Weasley played Cheetah Chrome. Most people didn't see it. Because it was terrible.

Bermondsey Joyriders were fantastic last Friday in Brighton. Gary Lammin the singer/guitarist used to be in an early line up of Cock Sparrer He was also in the Little Roosters who Strummer once famously produced in return for his dental bills paid.
