Pretty sure I'll be buying this set for the DVD alone.
I have most of it already but hopefully this will be of a much higher quality.
Surely people are clamoring for a crystal-clear copy of the Rockpalast show!

Estonia is historic and all for time and place, but...god, as a show it's a horrific document of the depths of Bruce Smith's alcohol problems. He was out of his skull that whole show, and the gruesome results are laid bare on the soundboard in spite of the shit-hot performance from the front line.

I, too, rate it 0/10. :shifty:

I've long said that Live in Tokyo is one of the worst albums I've ever heard—lord but PiL's pendulum swings widely—and that just adds to the awful some lazy visuals. How Lydon turned it around to get to Album is rather remarkable.

I think Lydon has great ideas but it takes somebody else to knock them into shape.

Yeah, Album is all Laswell and the Session Goons.
And then Laswell would produce Swans' The Burning World, which everyone, including Gira, agrees is the worst thing they've ever done (even if it does have a couple good songs).

Indeed...
Do they still print The Beano?
Yep it's been going strong since 1938.
Read it as a kid. My Dad used to read The Dandy which I think The Beano came from (I may be wrong on that). As I matured around 10 I moved on to Whizzer and Chips then Roy of the Rovers 😊

Just checked I am wrong The Besno has been going longer.
Loved them all as a kid and still do as an older kid. I detest the word "adult" it is something I try really hard not to become.
Yep same, just surprised they still go to print and not an interactive online version or something.

People didn't like his Wailers dub album either.

Whelll, I went ahead and picked up the box set if anyone wants FLACs. I can see not wanting to spend dough on this artifact (I got it for the DVDs and a couple of the unreleased tracks but that's about it).

The 2nd disc has a mastering fault. Where parts of the following tracks start up before their track markings. This affects USLS 1 through to Love Hope.

It's spite in physical form. Full-on PiL.

we harrumph sometimes about how the Clash catalog could be treated slightly more authoritatively or about the replication of compilations and whatever, but man oh man do we sit pretty compared to Lydon's consumer exploitation music projects.
