There really has to be a whole group page or anti-Bon Iver club or something to join about how much they blow. Fucking Jesus. I'm saying this with as much honesty and as little contempt as I possibly can without being ignorant and mean just for the heck of it.
I'd put him somewhere in between Bon Scott and Bon Jovi. Just kidding, I never heard of him/them.
They're (He's?) (I have no fucking idea, either) equally as shitty as Bon Jovi, if not shittier, but nowhere near as not-shitty as Bon Scott.

Both of their "Do You Wanna Dance?" covers are excellent. Probably better than the original.

The BBs used the "do ya do ya do ya do ya" as the chorus, while Bobby Freeman didn't use it until the fade out.
We reach the parts other combos cannot reach
We beach the beachheads other armies cannot beach
We speak the tongues other mouths cannot speak

That's why it's so much fun to listen to and catchier.

A RAMONEservation: Well, I made a few of them for RAMONES WEEK:
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

Pex Lives!

Me, Marky, SM, and Flex have totally been on the same thought cloud. I've been playing Ramones a whole lot lately.

I listened to about half of Pleasant Dreams this morning and it's not bad at all.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

The songs are good, for the most part, but the album sounds like claustrophobic carsickness. Somehow.
