Which would be amusing because Marky and Wolter are much, much bigger Magazine fans than I am.

I was just making a Twin Peaks reference. If Magazine has some relation to tulpas (mine or otherwise), that it not my concern.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑18 Sep 2017, 2:13pmMusic-inspired wordplay is Marky's curse.

New Morrissey single. It's pretty awful. The only curiosity is who he'll blame for the lack of sales.

I'll still see him if he comes to the 'Jortsville though. And I'll take the kid, because how else teach him about racism and xenophobia?Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑19 Sep 2017, 1:43pmNew Morrissey single. It's pretty awful. The only curiosity is who he'll blame for the lack of sales.

I've seen 3/3. I've got on a video channel that blocks things up into years. I tuned in because it's doing 1979, which has been determined to be the best damned year for music (:shifty:). So far, it's played Tom Robinson Band, The Specials, Madness, Gary Numan, Joy Division, and Elvis Costello. It's been a reminder of how much more advanced the UK was in terms of video promotion due to both the tight geography of the nation and the concentration of media compared to the US. It's also why, once MTV went on the air and the bulk of available videos were from UK artists, the early 80s experienced a second British Invasion.

79/80 was an absolutely golden period for British music, simple as that. Wish I'd been a little older at the time to fully appreciate it. By the time I came of age it had all gone to shit.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑21 Sep 2017, 6:20pmI've got on a video channel that blocks things up into years. Yes I was lucky as that was the era when I was old enough to go to gigs and buy my own records etc.. Whilst I was into punk and the Pistols I was too young to be 'part of the scene' but Two Tone was my scene. I was wearing, Fred Perry and braces to school the day after Gangsters was on TOTPHeston wrote: ↑21 Sep 2017, 6:50pm79/80 was an absolutely golden period for British music, simple as that.
