Walmart is currently running some bullshit commercial claiming it isn't evil or some such, but the ad uses Joe Cocker's version of "With a Little Help From My Friends." I mention this because I immediately believe The Wonder Years is on. The connection between that song and that show is an atomic bond.

That show's over glorification of that era wore really thin. Also somewhat related I never knew anyone who made home movies when I was a kid.

It was a serious Boomer wankathon—look at all our accumulated wisdom gained thru experiencing life, and you too shall benefit. I know I watched the first season when it was on, but beyond that it was really sporadic viewing for me.
