It was a serious Boomer wankathon—look at all our accumulated wisdom gained thru experiencing life, and you too shall benefit. I know I watched the first season when it was on, but beyond that it was really sporadic viewing for me.revbob wrote: ↑25 Apr 2017, 9:04pmThat show's over glorification of that era wore really thin. Also somewhat related I never knew anyone who made home movies when I was a kid.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑25 Apr 2017, 8:41pmWalmart is currently running some bullshit commercial claiming it isn't evil or some such, but the ad uses Joe Cocker's version of "With a Little Help From My Friends." I mention this because I immediately believe The Wonder Years is on. The connection between that song and that show is an atomic bond.

Good news, fans of cool music. A new, limited edition Swans live album, covering the most recent tour, is available: https://younggodrecords.com/collections ... iquescence
The boots from this tour have been sublime experiences, so I expect this to be no less transcendent.

At the risk of invoking memories of the "Early REM sounded just like The Cure" debacle, I wanted to post my recent observation:
A Question of Lust by Depeche Mode has a big Wall of Sound feel to it. It's one of my least favorite DM songs (I tend to favor the songs when Dave is the singer and Martin harmonizes), so I have never really noticed this before. Yes, I know, none of you care. \

I'm not a DM fan—I dig a few singles but that's it—but your statement is more batshit than guano.
