All things considered, that’s a pretty deep cut to reference.
If he really wanted to troll the fuck out of Cruz, he'd insert a random Stryper lyric in there.

Fuck I love a good Cruz meme.

There was also this, after Friday's debate:

This is all superficial shit and all, but, c'mon, this is pretty cool.
This is from like a 45 minute FB live clip. He plays Jail Guitar Doors earlier in the clip.Which again, superficial, but pretty cool.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

One of those songs that, for me anyway, is the most perfect thing ever recorded while it's playing:
"I never doubted myself for a minute for I knew that my monkey-strong bowels were girded with strength, like the loins of a dragon ribboned with fat and the opulence of buffalo dung." - Richard Nixon, Checkers Speech, abandoned early draft

That's really good. Vocals owe a debt to Ian McCulloch.

I hadn't thought of that, but I hear it now.

I'm currently grading student assignments, analyzing a piece of music historically. I'm being confronted with an assessment of Rush's 2112 and have a deep craving for weed now, even tho I don't smoke.

Do you also have a desire to dress like Celine Dion?

Although to be fair Rush dressed that way first.

I wish to gaze longingly at pictures of Ayn Rand and to rationalize being an asshole for no good reason.

What a difficult admission to make, yet: Australia did something pretty awesome.

I am headed to NOLA in a few days and am looking for some music to see. I have some serious questions about the sax player on the far right: https://preservationhalljazzband.com/
