It was my favorite shirt until my wife probably threw it away many years later. That shirt got me a lot of strange looks.

I definitely would have worn that.
It's funny because it made many people visibly unsettled, wife included.
I had, and have, so many of those kinds of shirts. Thankfully the Boss doesn't really care. Her tolerance for my immaturity is superhuman.

I've ordered the special edition copy. Comes with a blank suicide note.

I had a T-shirt with a young John Rotten holding a wine glass with a caption saying "Have a rotten Xmas". I wore it Xmas day 2005 the partner and the Mother-in-law hated it. I put it in the wash the day after and mysteriously it was never seen again.

This is the one.

Ha! The mysterious black hole of the washer and dryer claims more than socks. My favourite Sex Pistols, which I wore until it quite literally frayed away, was the cover of this boot:

Absolutely loved it and wish I could get another one.

I've got a fair few books by Savage. I like his writings just not his bending of the facts at times. However I don't like him.

Enjoy.

I have taken over laundry duties for the most part because of stuff like this and to prevent my clothes from getting shrunk.

I do like England's Dreaming for its argument. I've read his book Teenage but remember nothing of it. I've also leafed thru his book that's a collection of smaller pieces.
Enjoy.
Well, I don't think he's wrong. Labour turning away from the working class and towards the smug "we know better" professional, cosmopolitan class made it easier for right-wing faux populism to make inroads into the working class. Like with Trump, these are disasters that have multiple parents.

Thanks—I've never bothered to see what he looks like, let alone hear him. I'll dl it and give it a listen later.

Jon comes across as very genuine yet he also seems very pompous to me.

Still haven't watched it, so I can't speak directly to it, but from the non-Limey perspective, the "proper English" accent always sounds pompous, like you're being condescended to.

Canadians and genteel Southerners prefer passive-aggression.

That 'propet English' you speak of doesnt come from the so called working class. Jon mentions his posh accent in the video. But I've no problem with his class just his manner.
