Share that bastard, you selfish fucker.

The hard part for me would be if I were obliged to cover every album. If I could stop at Wish, yeah, I can do a solid hour, tho I'd probably be three-quarter singles.

I stopped at Disintegration, as you'll see.
Cool I'm gonna give this a try. Thanks Kory.

Here, make your own (full disclosure, this was for my wife):

Boys Don't Cry
The Caterpillar
Play for Today
Six Different Ways
Just Like Heaven
All Cats Are Grey
The Funeral Party
Why Can't I Be You?
Lovesong
Push
Let's Go to Bed
Piggy in the Mirror
Fascination Street
Close to Me
A Night Like This
The Hanging Garden
Lullaby
Birdmad Girl
A Forest
One Hundred Years
Disintegration
Cool, thanks. Is it chronological or in any special order?
I ordered it for flow, I think it works pretty well overall for a band with that much diversity.

I wonder if this is going to be the similarly titled to 4:13 Dream that was promised years ago.
I'd like to think that in ten years or however long it's been, he's amassed a dozen good songs. But I can't help but think that Robert Smith is a guy who got the 80s perfectly but doesn't work well outside that decade.

Listening to lots of Cure, I had to make a playlist for somebody that doesn't really know them. It was extremely difficult.

Too much Disintegration (yet skipping "Pictures of You") for my tastes—maybe I need to listen this again because I'm almost negative towards its reputation—but this is certainly defensible given the challenges of capturing the Cure for the uninitiated. Still, no "Inbetween Days" (mid-80s alt pop in a snapshot, especially the first 30 seconds) and Kiss Me got shortchanged, imo.
Take another listen, you're probably oversaturated on it. I think the four songs I chose are much stronger than "Pictures of You," same with the Head on the Door tracks vs."Inbetween Days" (I'm a lot more prone to skipping obvious choices for beginners. They can check the big hits later on, or they already know them, or they just didn't fit the flow). Kiss Me is my least favorite Cure album from 3IB to Disintegration.

That was my first Cure album—sort of; I bought the cassette Standing on a Beach just before—so I have a solid connection to it. And given my preference for pop Cure, I still lean to it. Depending on where I work tomorrow, I'll fire up your list.

I like it Kory, some fine choices on there mate. I do really love the Albert Camus inspired first single so that would have to be on my list and there is a an alt. version/mix that appeared on the compilation album ''20 of Another Kind'' which is my preferred version. Great to see that you chose my fave Cure track ''The Hanging Garden'' and the brilliant ''All Cats Are Grey''.

Thanks guys, it's hard thing to make a list for one specific person—you have to show them why you personally like the band, but also have to put in stuff that you think they would like and make hard cutting decisions.

Nope, this one just isn't doing it for me. Other than “Fascination Street” and “Disintegration,” the thing just drags with its own sense of being big and heavy. Nothing wrong with epic-sounding records, but this doesn't energize; it makes me look at the clock.
