There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Who's on duty tonight? If someone doesn't step up I'm going to do Spandau Ballet.

To go down as the greatest tumbleweed choice since Chuck went with Dinosaur Jr.

I know exactly two songs by them. And I don't remember the second one's name.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑11 May 2017, 6:07pmTo go down as the greatest tumbleweed choice since Chuck went with Dinosaur Jr.

My original response to Heston was going go be that just getting people to name five SB songs would be an Everest climb. I know "True" and "Gold" and that's because my sister had the album and played the hell out of it.Wolter wrote: ↑11 May 2017, 6:31pmI know exactly two songs by them. I bet they're one of those bands that was like super-famous in the UK, but no one in America can name more than one or two songs. Like Kajagoogoo or Oasis.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑11 May 2017, 6:39pmMy original response to Heston was going go be that just getting people to name five SB songs would be an Everest climb. Spandau Ballet always seemed like they were a huge band in the UK, yet the records show they only ever had one No.1 single, the reprehensible True. I like a few of their songs - Musclebound, Chant No.1, To Cut A Long Story Short, and not ashamed to admit I caught them live once and didn't think they stank the place out.

Shit. I was just about to step up with Robert Quine's top five performances. Oh, well - maybe another lifetime. Thanks a lot, Heston.
