2. Midnight to Stevens
3. Beautiful People/Fulham Connection
4. Junco Partner
5. Ghetto Defendant
That's a really great track.
That it is, and also a genuine and fitting tribute to Guy Stevens, I think, whatever precisely it was he brought to the band.

I think Guy was so much more than a producer, his music knowlege alone would have endeared him to the band. Guy set up the British Sue label in the 60's featuring a whole host of great R&B artists that both Joe and Mick loved and then his involvement with Free and Mott.

Midnight To Stevens was a serious lost gem. I can't believe it never found its way onto an album.

Eh, you could grab nearly any five random Clash songs and they'd all make some reference to drugs or drink. They'd all be great too.

Just copy Marky's list for me.

Bonus list: Grant Hart songs:

1. Pink Turns To Blue
2. Books About UFOs
3. Don't Want To Know If You Are Lonely
4. The Girl Who Lives On Heaven Hill
5. Never Talking To You Again
Lennon/McCartney
Jagger/Richards
Strummer/Jones
Hart/Mould
Hello,

You might add Difford/Tillbrook. Squeeze had some really great pop songs.
Partridge/Moulding
XTC songs were either Partridge or Moulding and even though the other partnerships sometimes worked like that, these boys never claimed to be co-writers.

You are correct here Dave but such brilliant writers none the less.

Besides, Lennon/McCartney opened that door already.

I agree, although I have no preference about either, and like most of XTC's catalogue as a whole, no matter who wrote the songs.

I only know "Ball & Chain", which is great. And there was another with Springsteen guesting that was pretty good.

Hello,

Ring of Fire
So Far Away
Mommy's Little Monster
Story of my Life
Far Behind

I really don't know them well beyond the S/T - I have Mommy's Little Monster, S/T, Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell, and A Greatest Hits compilation - but I really like their Ring of Fire.
