I'll sign off Marky's pick but will add their cover of It's All Too Much at number 5.
Oooh I forgot all about that cover. Yeah I agree it's pretty cool.

A band that deserved to be big. The first three are both uncontroversial and mandatory.
1. Shine On
2. Christine
3. I Don't Know Why I Love You
4. The Beatles and the Stones
5. Marble

1. Sparky's Dream
2. I Need Direction
3. Everything Flows
4. Dumb Dumb Dumb
5. Hang On

So many other legit choices. Two bands in a row that should have obscenely fat bank accounts.

Teenage Fanclub are a band I've been meaning to look into for years — I think I'll put together a little comp based on this week's rankings. 😎

The compilation Four Thousand … is a fantastic introduction. You're a Big Star fan, right? You'll love these guys. Whenever I listen to TF, I think how much fun it must be to be in a band.

Another band I always enjoy when I hear them and never remember to do a deep dive. I should.

I'm sure I've mentioned this before but a drunken Marky got up on stage and sang Everything Flows with Teenage Fanclub. At the ULU London it was Norman's or Raymond's birthday I think. Lots of the audience on stage dancing like loonies.

Way cool. Way, way cool.

This morning I learned that Norman lives in Ontario now with his Canadian wife. Don't know where in Ontario, but close enough to stalk, I suppose.

They are one band I never tire of hearing.
