I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

Seen Ride last night and they were amazing a greatest hits set followed by the album Nowhere in its entirety, I think those early boots and radio sessions from earlier in the year they were still slightly rusty and finding there feet cause I wasn't that impressed either by them but last night they were bang on form..oh yes and it was loud very loud my ears are still ringingDirty Harry wrote:Will doDr. Medulla wrote:Please report back on the show. Re: The Shoegazing Thread
Fantastic news. I'll have to see whether any good boots from the Nowhere shows are circulating. You'd think they'll put out a cash-in live album from all this, too.Dirty Harry wrote:Seen Ride last night and they were amazing a greatest hits set followed by the album Nowhere in its entirety, I think those early boots and radio sessions from earlier in the year they were still slightly rusty and finding there feet cause I wasn't that impressed either by them but last night they were bang on form..oh yes and it was loud very loud my ears are still ringingDirty Harry wrote:Will doDr. Medulla wrote:Please report back on the show. edit: I've downloaded a couple shows from Dime: The Waterfront, Norwich, UK, 12 Oct 15 and Anson Rooms, Bristol, UK, 17 Oct 15. Haven't listened to either, but I can upload if there's desire.

It's ok I got these shows of dime last night not listened to them yet though.. Hope the Edinburgh show gets put up though, during the song Drive Blind they did this 10 minute guitar holocaust which was amazing it was like standing next to a jumbo jet taking offDr. Medulla wrote:Fantastic news. *shrug* It definitely still sounds like Lush, but not a facet of their sound that I ever especially dug.Dirty Harry wrote:New Lush Single

I listened today as well. I was hoping for something that didn't seem like a bit of a retread. Funny that they are the first of these newly reformed bands to release new music. I wonder if Slowdive and Ride taking their time will result in something more forward-thinking.Dr. Medulla wrote:*shrug* It definitely still sounds like Lush, but not a facet of their sound that I ever especially dug.Dirty Harry wrote:New Lush Single

Re: The Shoegazing Thread
I'm still not super-enthused about the new album—at least compared to their earlier stuff—but "The Cherry Pit" is textbook perfect shoegaze/noise pop. I'd love to live in a world where this charts.
