After having read both, I was surprised how much of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein was a breathless fan letter to Milton's Paradise Lost.Wolter wrote:Actually, the original Frankenstein's monster was incredibly well read. Re: Happy birthday, Tep!
I read it for the first time about 5 years ago. I was shocked about how extremely different it was. Universal basically made something about 80% new. Or it may have been adapted from a stage play, i dunno. In the book they glossed over how the monster was put together in one paragraph, in the movie that's like the entire first act.Wolter wrote:Oh, totally.Silent Majority wrote:After having read both, I was surprised how much of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein was a breathless fan letter to Milton's Paradise Lost.Wolter wrote:Actually, the original Frankenstein's monster was incredibly well read. All of Proud Larry's will toast to you!"
I'm so punk, I don't even take my leather jacket off when it catches fire. Which it does frequently, because of how fucking punk I am.
Re: Happy birthday, Tep!
Did I ever mention I stood in front of Proud Larry's once.
I hadn't been looking for it, it kinda found me.
