Glad to hear of Ian Brady's death, hopefully it was painful.
Been dying a very long time. The evil fucker never told where he burried Keith Bennett.
I know I can google, but I would love to hear your take. Who is this guy?
Child killer with Myra Hindley. The police discovered all the remains except for one boy Keith Bennett whose mother went to her grave without ever knowing where her son was buried. Shameful and evil bastards.
Oh, that's awful.

Seemingly suicide or autoerotic asphyxiation gone wrong.

Nice little addition by subtraction there.

I'm pretty bummed to hear this. He was a hell of a vocalist and Soundgarden had some legitimately great music. Superunknown was the first cd I ever owned and I think it holds up well.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I'm the opposite of bummed about this.

A HELL of a vocalist. Very sad. I'm glad I got to see him live a few times.

Ailes' death was the universe trying to right it's wrong of taking CC.

His death does take the edge off.

Now I regret never seeing him live. Ah well.

Y'know, despite being an atheist, I am very much an adherent of the Christian idea of redemption. There is great value in the ideal that all of our lives have contributed some degree of goodness to the world and that in death that should shine out, that in memory we can still be something positive for the living. But I honestly can't think of a single decent thing about Ailes. I can about any number of nasty villains who lived and died during my lifetime, but Ailes was superbly wretched and actively sought to profit by exacerbating the cancer to the American civic spirit. It really is a pity that there is no afterlife, that somehow some kind of cosmic justice could yet be wrought upon him.
