Holocaust denier Ernst Zundel is no longer sharing air with us, so that's a good start to the week. The number of comments I've read, presumably by liberals, making him into some kind of free speech role model is utterly nauseous. Liberals who think empowering monsters strengthens our world is, perhaps, the best indictment of liberalism at hand—a completely fucked-up moral compass.

I can't imagine any liberal putting him forth as anything other than the piece of shit he was.

And yet there was perverse assertion of how important it was that he was expressing unpopular ideas, that if we truly want to have free speech, then we need to defend horrific speech. It's an immature understanding of Enlightenment values and how contrary something like Nazism is.

Haruo Nakajima, the man who wore the Godzilla suit in the original film, died on Monday aged 88 from pneumonia, Toho studios said in a statement. Nakajima wore the Godzilla costume, originally made from ready mixed concrete, from 1954 to 1972 for 12 films.
