Dusty Baker is officially available to do toothpick tricks at children's and office parties. If you ask nicely, he can also wreck promising young men's arms.

Two observations:
1. Fox/Buck is so in the bag for the Astros. I remain intrigued by this, especially with the Yankees close to winning (less so with it being 3-0j. I think it comes down to a hard hard hard crush on Verlander.
2. Todd Frazier has a stupid face and I hate it.

After Game 5 (maybe even 4), the Astros winning felt like an upset. I went to bed after the 6th and halfway expected to wake up to, like, a 9-4 Yankees win. Nevertheless, congrats, revbob, RP, and Mimi on an excellent season. The window came open a bit earlier than predicted but it'll be open for the foreseeable future.

What a meh WS, tho, for rooting interests.

Dodgers (pro): Ex-Sox hero Dave Roberts; Puig is fun; Kershaw is an amazing pitcher.
Dodgers (con): L.A.; Adrian Gonzalez' scowling even tho if he's not actually playing; Magic Johnson.
Astros (pro): With the exception of Brian "Baseball Cop" McCann, they're a pretty likeable team; they slew the Yankees.
Astros (con): Texas; Bushes; they slew the Red Sox.

I lean Astros, but don't really care.

I hate both teams but I disagree complete. When was the last time two 100+ teams played each other in WS? I bet it was pre-LDS era. Both heavily populated, LAD has big baseball history, but not for 30 years. Houston has hurricane. Verlander, Kuechel, Altuve, Correa, Kershaw, Jansen, Darvish Bellinger, Seager are all legit stars.

And the Bushes were Rangers, not Astros.

*edit*,, oh, for rooting interests. Yeah, me too but I'm leaning for Houston.

Bush Sr. and Babs used to have rich asshole seats behind home plate. I don't recall seeing them at any of the playoff games, so he must have one foot in hell already.

Last 100+ win WS was, I read the other day, 1970 (Orioles and Reds).
