So is it time for some English band past their prime to release some awful song with players guest rapping that English people will remember fondly 25 years later because “you had to be there?”
This still checks all the boxes. :yuck:

John Barnes' rap is great. Keith Allen is an odious little toad prick.

Took 25.25W down the boozer to watch England V Sweden. He has seen it all on TV before but was desperate to be part of it.
Pub was packed, standing room only. Very very hot 30 c outside probably 50c no air con inside.
Amazing atmosphere and obviously game was brilliant.
At full time the pub emptied and the locals all jumped straight into the river (home town custom) to a chorus of ‘it’s coming home’.
Great father son bonding as 25.25W was telling me how the day looks bed up to all his expectations when the fattest bloke in the pub stripped off and wrapped only in a Sweden flag did a back flip off the town bridge 😂

P.S. No my bridge jumping days were over 30 years ago!!

I don't know shit about him other than he's Lily Allen's dad and the only thing I know about her is she did a cover of Straight to Hell that I'm not crazy about. What's his deal? His mugging in the video hasn't aged as poorly as everything else in the video.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Alternative comedian/actor friend of Joe. He has his momments but overall he comes across as obnoxious.

Hello

Keith Allen by all accounts was a bit of a loose cannon and unpredictable, if you like a bit o' satire source:
The Comic Strip presents
The Yob (A Clockwork Orange mash up with The Fly) hilarious
And
Gino Full story and pics ( Newspaper sensationalism) pretty good
Also
The Crying game ( Paul Gascoign tribute. Scene stolen by a psychedelic Jimmy Twizzle right at the end) classic
Cheers

I like Keith Allen.

Three Lions was the best England song though, then Vindaloo. World In Motion has dated badly, and wasn't that great at the time, it was just much better than what had came before.

Beaneater getting off with a high school chick for pretending to like Moz means he gets a pass this time.

Always loved how Jake plays Uber Alles in place of Rule Britania.

This is far too English for me to understand.
