That one time I went to Germany, there was ham swimming in mayo for breakfast.
That's gotta be a very regional thing.
I forget where I was, but it was the city that has the 500 foot statues that were a monument to defeating Napoleon.

I'm trying to google a picture of the ham and mayo and I cant find it. Was it a dream? A beautiful, wonderful, delicious dream?

*edit* i was in Leipzig
You didn't dream up the Völkerschlacht monument, that's for sure. To be honest, I don't have a clue about the culinary mores in the new states.
Olaf only eats Bavarian raccoon steaks.

Well, when humans aren't available for consumption.

This is intriguing if Olaf has also been using racoons to mean human prey.

Mayo hate is performative. There. I said it.
It's one of those things that just swung too far in the other direction. Does the memory of my grandmother's sandwiches SLATHERED in mayo revolt me? Yes. Does that mean that mayo needs to be avoided in all scenarios? No.

I admit, the mayo on fries thing is just viscerally repulsive (and, yeah, I've tried 'em).
Soak your fries in malt vinegar, salt the shit out of ‘em, and dip ‘em in a tub of mayonnaise.

Ketchup is garbage.

Well I could never eat a raccoon. They're just too cute in their little SS uniforms.

What if they were Luftwaffe raccoons? More edible that way or would their goggles punch up the adorable factor too much?

A whole different animal. Wrapped in a parachute, served with an Iron Cross, delicious.

Drew Magary, the epitome of performative hate, writing on the subject just proves Wolter's point.

And the people who tell him he'd like mayo if he had it in this combination or that? Are they also just being performative? What I mean is that dismissing things as performative suggests insincerity. It's an easy way of brushing aside anything a person says by suggesting an ulterior motive—some kind of status play. If it were a sports topic, yeah, I'd be inclined to agree—talking mainly about Magary here—but the guy also writes about food a lot and no surprise he has strong opinions. Insincere, tho?

Mayo on burgers is perfectly cromulent and mayo hate is a way for white people to pretend to be less white.
