I saw a poodle today with a haircut that made it look like he/she had an afro worthy of a 70s blaxploitation flick. Damn, muthahfuckuh, I thought.

Ceefax brings me back to Saturday afternoons and refreshing every 10 seconds to get the goal updates and, of course, Bamboozled! Oddly addictive.

In other news: people who use the term Nom! should be flogged to within an inch of their sorry existences. Yum is bad enough without the abomination that is Nom!

Haha yes I remember watching football via Ceefax!!! The only time it was exciting was when United beat Ipswich 9-0 and each time you refreshed you wondered how many it would have gone up by.

Apparently both my children think Harry Potter is better than Star Wars. I've failed as a parent.

Glare at them and communicate only in growls until they exorcise the Hoy from their being.

Don't worry. It's just their way of rebelling. They will come around eventually.

I fear the oldest, now a legal adult will never come around. The youngest, perhaps. Rebelling against me is like Calvin choosing to listen to Muzak.

I think their wrong position stems from them reading all the HP books and that books are almost always stronger than movies... but still

Testing your spouse's tolerance (part 14 of an endless series): When you're watching tv and a character Is excited and about to say something, insert the following dialogue: "This shit is off the hook!" Do it every time and reap the reward of a colder and colder glare from across the room.

I just appalled the missuz with my knowledge that ALF's real name was Gordon Shumway. How she still hasn't figured out that 95% of what's in my brain is useless is the real mystery.
