Just had a visit from an adorable and energetic young Irish woman soliciting for Save the Children. We're already giving monthly to several animal and children's charities, but she was so damned personable and persuasive that there was no way I could say no to her. We're talking ice-to-the-Eskimos skills. If it's just an act, holy crap, she'll go far.
It's now my life's mission to meet her.
Her name was Niamh, which is something I'd never heard before. She recognized my accent as being from the Prairies because one of her co-workers is from Moose Jaw. She also insisted we high-five over being atheists (don't ask me how the conversation went there). She was seriously good at her job (tho she talked a bit too fast).
By your teenage enthusiasm for your Irish stranger I take it she was pretty too ❤️

Yeah, but not stunning in any way. Seriously, she won me over with her enthusiasm and social skills. The older I get, tho, the more I find young women attractive (not necessarily in any kind of sexualized way, just that beauty of youth and all that).

I watched an NYC hipster put his young sons hair into a man bun while on the subway today.

I fucking loathe it when parents use their children as fashion experiments based on their own stupid taste. See: 4 year olds with mohawks.

Agreed. A T shirt is one thing but a kid in nappies with a mow hawk etc is just wrong.
The same parents will be the ones screening st the sideline of a kids football match or swearing st the ref. Living their life through their kids!!

Back in 92, coming back from a school trip to Atlanta, my buddy and I were seated apart. He sat beside a guy who was a fighter pilot during the Gulf War. My guy opened up a briefcaee and placed two books on his tray: the Bible and a Rush Limbaugh book. My buddy had a fascinating chat with his guy; me … less so.
