Got a plumber cutting up our living room ceiling—some kind of leak from the upstairs shower or tub—right now. He's a young guy with a distinct Irish accent.
Your new journey into erotic short stories is off to a promising start.
When I was writing my dissertation, my brother, whom I don't really keep in touch with, apparently thought I was writing a romance novel. So, yeah, the fates are aligning.
Weren't you, in a sense?

Well, I did often fantasize about Fabio sweeping me away. But we all do that, right?

Drywall guy is working on the main floor, fixing the ceiling after the plumbing issue. I'm in my office up one floor. For the last 10 minutes, he's been a constant stream of muttered fucks and shits, almost Tourette's-like. I don't think there's anything going on, just that that's how he works. Which I understand.

Really, that's not far off. He's also belching a lot. I kinda dig this guy.

An observation about the above: I'm amused that the Springsteen comes with mayo.

Music's a time machine. This song takes me right back to being a kid at the seaside in the early 90s.
