Re: movies
Had some free movie passes so caught Captain Marvel, pretty decent! Definitely some Marvel shit going on I didn't understand since I've skipped a few years of the movies, but fairly self contained. I always liked Carol Danvers as a character and obviously the inclusion of a third wave ska track in one of the climactic fight scenes gets the Flex Seal of SKAproval.

Re: movies
I enjoyed it for what it was. My son was a bit critical of the Jude Law as "surprise" villain. And also that the Kree? would be benevolent we already knew they were bad guys right? Personally I don't know as my nerdiness doesnt cover comic book stuff. Granted the characters would not have been aware as this would seem to predate everything but the first half or so of Capt America.Flex wrote: ↑20 Mar 2019, 11:41pmHad some free movie passes so caught Captain Marvel, pretty decent! Yeah, I actually don't really know enough about the Kree and whatnot to have for sure known they'd be villains.revbob wrote: ↑21 Mar 2019, 4:03pmI enjoyed it for what it was. Re: movies
DC, not Marvel. And I haven't actually kept up with anything for at least a few years.
I like Archie Comics.

Jughead still like hamburgers? Big Moose say duh a lot? Is there a bag full of gags?
Edit: Archie Digests are such a childhood memory for me. Summertime, especially.

Re: movies
I haven't picked any new comics up in a year or two, but the Archie Horror and New Riverdale titles are generally fantastic.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑22 Mar 2019, 1:58pmJughead still like hamburgers? Big Moose say duh a lot? Is there a bag full of gags?

Re: movies
DC is for nerds. Actually I dont read comics never really have (except MAD back in the day). However the DC movies I've seen except WW have been awful I never got into the bat man hype much.
As for Archie have Betty and Veronica done it yet?

Re: movies
I saw Us last night. Great bit of modern horror. Not an all time classic like Get Out but creepy as hell.
