I liked when he learned his lesson and they celebrated their new arrangement with the adding of chocolate to milk.
I suspect it was that moment that I never wanted kids.

Do you usually post these because you've just watched the episode, or do you just have a flash of memory on a line and get inspired to post?

Little from Column A, little from Row 13. This one was a memory flash after I read something that mentioned the phrase "famous historian." And I laughed at the notion of a famous historian.

Doesn't Simon Schama count? Is he a historian or an anthropologist?

Yeah, he's a historian. And he's historian famous, which is real-life anonymous.

But he's on TV! That's like the most famous anyone can be.

Hey, Andy Warhol, media saturation has kneecapped your quaint notion about fame.

I had a student yesterday email me to ask whether they could use as a source an article they found on history.com. I explained that, ironically, history.com is an awful source for history.* I'm a lot more forgiving of offbeat sources than colleagues, but even I have my limits.

* Except for hunting Hitlers and pawning stuff found while hunting Hitlers.
