It's like Steinbrenner in the 70s and 80s over there.

Eight months or so ago, we were all hoping that his physiological self-abuse would kill him. Obviously that still stands. But I do enjoy seeing people who promote the innate superiority of white people who look like the grim reaper is just tapping his toe impatiently. Come on, you assholes, can't you even pretend to have an Aryan demi-god in your midst?

There is no room for other people in the world that Trump has made for himself, and this is fundamental to the anxiety of watching him impose his claustrophobic and airless interior world on our own. Is Trump a racist? Yes, because that’s a default setting for stupid people; also, he transparently has no regard for other people at all. Does Trump care about the cheap-looking statue of Stonewall Jackson that some forgotten Dixiecrat placed in a shithole park somewhere he will never visit? Not really, but he so resents the fact that other people expect him to care that he develops a passionate contrary opinion out of spite. Does he even know about . . . Let me stop you there. The answer is no.

The answer is always no, and it will always be no because he does not care. Every lie, every evasion, every massive and blithely issued shock to the conscience Trump authors will only ever be about him

I just got into the dumbest Facebook argument with my Trump loving cousin, who is evidently the world's biggest idiot. He thinks that both sides are at fault and the fact that there is such an "increased amount of violence in the streets" is what is going to lead us down the road to totalitarianism. I said that was a stupid take, and there is only one side at fault, the Nazis. He then responded that this is how it all started in Nazi Germany, and the reason the Holocaust happened is because Nazis and Communists were fighting in the street and that "regular" people got scared. I said that was like saying my dad died from pancreatic cancer because he had a cigarette in 1966. He then proceeded to mansplain to me how I am part of the problem, because I don't address the real issues, like sex slavery. A sentence which he ended, I kid you not, with #saveourgirls. I told him that yeah, I only work for an organization that has combating human trafficking as one of its priorities, and that oh, BTW, labor trafficking is far more prevalent because people like to buy cheap shit at Walmart. Then he accused me of attacking him personally. Which I didn't do. And then, his mom, my crazy right wing aunt, told me to take a chill pill because did the cripples complain about stairs after they got their wheelchair ramps? (This was a jab at people protesting confederate statues). And I said that why, actually, the disabled community has been extremely active in advocacy work for a very long time. And I don't think they like to be called cripples. She then admonished me for forcing her to be politically correct.

My cousin, who is actually not 90, then said people don't respect history or free speech anymore, and that riots solve nothing. I said you mean like after the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire or Stonewall? I don't think he knew what either of those were.

TL;DR I am really glad my parents got the fuck out of Texas.

I don't get what the wheelchair ramp thing has to do with confederate statues.

I've seen your cousin's comments on your page before, he's an idiot.
