Heston's entire "weird things that come in tins" diet.
"A lot of millennials don't even own can openers," Andy Mecs, the vice president of marketing and innovation for Starkist, said to the Journal.
OK millennials, let's talk! Matey, you millennial SOB, do you own a can opener?

Yep. Use it for black beans. But that's about it. Canned tuna is disgusting.
Canned tuna has a ring pull?

I was stuck in line behind someone who was buying like 40 of those the other night. The cashier tried to count them and ring them all at once...but kept getting the quantity wrong. I normally wouldn't have cared...but I was running late for picking up my kids from school. I kept myself from getting too worked up by trying to figure out what one does with 40 pouches of tuna?

Maybe getting a jump on their New Year's Resolution to lose weight? Maybe a very spoiled cat at home? Tuna addiction?

Maybe they have an autistic son at home who only eats a handful of different things. Lord knows that’s why we have it.

My nephew, also living with autism, is just like this. His particular food of choice are instant potato spuds and apple sauce. He certainly eats it.

Answer: American exceptionalism.

It's an interesting question, whether this is more a spectrum politics thing rather than a generational one. Presumably it's both, in that I don't expect conservative Millennials to let go of that special sash given out for being American.
