so, is may's gambit actually gonna work? i.e. get down to the wire with her plan as the ONLY option available and force enough people to it who aren't willing to let a hard brexit happen? Seems like "no" from the outside looking in, but curious if anyone has a different read on her game of chicken here.

Short answer, no, she’s all but fucked. Latest is that her deal will get put before the house next week, but only alongside a raft of possible options (revoke, no deal, Norway +1 etc) that MPs can vote on to indicate whether there is a preference for any of them. Simply, they know her deal is goosed and now parliament is taking control of the process going forward - what should have happened months ago. Her incendiary speech on Wednesday blaming parliament for the impasse quickly and predictably came back to bite her in the ass.
