I'm being snarky about how dogmatic supporters of one side or the other shit on those who say their main concern is civilians. Ardent supporters of the Palestinian cause (with or without mention of Hamas) will tell you that if you cite Israeli civilian casualties, you're supporting Israel's colonialism and apartheid. If you emphasize civilian casualties in Gaza to the Israel's loudest supporters, it means you actually support anti-semitism and genocide against Jews.

All wars evoke some sort of religious fanaticism otherwise they would never happen....if "Leaders" came out and stated we want to invade that country to steal their resources the invasion would get hardly any support at all, most people understand the difference between right and wrong and who is going to give their life for someone elses greed?...the tactic throughout history has been to override that natural morality with some sort of religion...be that the religion of "Gods" or Comunism, Facism, Patriotism, Nationalism etc.....all offer a purpose to serve a master/cause greater than yourself. At the end of the day it's always been about brainwashing the working classes to offer up their own lives in exchange for "National glory" or "Everlasting life"...the reality is most of the time you are dying so that the very select elite can have a better life....2023 and blowing up other humans you've never met is still considered to be justified, the human race is fucked. Dearest friends,
The last night was extreme. The “ground invasion” of Gaza resulted in scores and carloads with maimed, torn apart, bleeding, shivering, dying – all sorts of injured Palestinians, all ages, all civilians, all innocent.
The heroes in the ambulances and in all of Gaza’s hospitals are working 12-24 hour shifts, grey from fatigue and inhuman workloads (without payment all in Shifa for the last 4 months), they care, triage, try to understand the incomprehensible chaos of bodies, sizes, limbs, walking, not walking, breathing, not breathing, bleeding, not bleeding humans. HUMANS!
Now, once more treated like animals by “the most moral army in the world” (sic!).
My respect for the wounded is endless, in their contained determination in the midst of pain, agony and shock; my admiration for the staff and volunteers is endless, my closeness to the Palestinian “sumud” gives me strength, although in glimpses I just want to scream, hold someone tight, cry, smell the skin and hair of the warm child, covered in blood, protect ourselves in an endless embrace – but we cannot afford that, nor can they.
Ashy grey faces – Oh NO! Hamas is terrorist, we know, but the democratic Israel?
Israel is politically a piece of the USA. in the Middle East. They always pursue the same policy of expansion with violence, use of weapons and bombings. How is it possible that the best secret service in the world (the Israeli one) was unable to intercept the Hamas raid on its territory? It seems to have been done on purpose to then have the pretext to bomb and invade Gaza.
How will it all end? Israel will have greatly expanded its territory with the U.N. that remains to be watched. Goal achieved!
