The 45th anniversary DVD has new studio outtakes!
Isn't that just another astronaut?
None of them are astronauts, just actors.
Fair point.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Maybe it just me but I always thought that it was the conspiracy theory that was faked since we all know that the moon landing wasn't. There actually is no conspiracy theory - it's been faked by the United States Government and it is this fraud that the Chinese and Russians are happy to abide for - you know - gaslighting purposes. Then again maybe it was the moon landing - it all gets so confusing. Cher could figure all this out.

What about the role of the Nazis getting man on the moon for NASA Operation Paperclip and all that.

All I can say about that is that my 1965 VW Karman Ghia engine looked a heck of a lot like the unused 'spare' Saturn rocket lying in the weeds in Florida. Also both vehicles had engines in the back. Coincidence? I mean what are the odds?

Friend just told me about this mockumentary. Haven't watched it yet, tho.

edit: Watched it this morning. Eh, too dry as a mockumentary for my tastes. On the plus side, I suppose, it's so dry that it could sucker in some dopes into thinking that it is a legit moon-landing conspiracy piece.
