Yeah, 1/4 of the box set was punctured/smashed in transit. Amazon is refunding me, but not exchanging because they’re out of stock.
Damn. How did Amazon pack it?
It was floating around in a larger cardboard box with nothing else supporting it. Ridiculous!
That’s what I figured since this is how my Ramones Road To Ruin Deluxe Edition was packed by Amazon. The airbags were practically useless. Fortunately, no real damage aside from 2 small side dings which might have been there before it went out. It arrived the day after it was shipped, so I imagine that the longer an item is in transit, the higher the chances of damage.
My Joe Strummer 001 Deluxe is supposed to be shipped by Amazon soon. Hoping for the best.

I have had many Amazon items packed like that. When I've ordered anything that arrives in a way bigger box that the item I ordered I alway get the delivery driver to wait until I've opened it. Then if it's damaged he gets to take it back.

That's a good idea. Not sure, but I think here, if the package is opened, it's considered delivered, and the customer would have to go through the trouble of getting a new shipping label (the customer or seller pays for it). If the damage is obvious on the box/outside, one can refuse delivery as long as it's not opened. At least w/ the USPS, as long as it's not opened, one can send it back "Refused, Return to Sender."

Does anyone else’s JS001 Notebook have the pages completely detached/unglued from the spine? I heard creaking sounds when I first opened the book. I tried to take a photo of what I’m referring to.

No not at all Briggy sorry
OK, thanks. Amazon shipped it in a plastic padded/bubble envelope, which doesn’t provide much protection from heat like a box would. When I received it, the envelope was warm, so I think the hot weather caused the pages to become unglued from the spine.
