Rock'n roll of... Corse

Post by bazarboy75 »

Hi

i don't know if someone else aldeady speak about that but
Rock'n roll of Corse is a documentary is about( Henry Padovani which was the first Police guitarist
and he left the band before it broke up

Anyway this is not the most important here

If you go on the page

https://www.facebook.com/rocknrollofcorse

Even if you don't have a fb account i think you'll be able to watch the teaser 2 with some footage of the Clash playing a small part of) complete control
What concert is this ?
Not MOnt de MArsan for sure (not the same clothes)
Any idea

In another teaser also Topper And Mick speaks !

Hi BB,

My guess would be "Bataclan Punk Festival, Paris, 09/29/1977" the solo on Complete Contol in that trailer sounds pretty crisp. The single had just been released that week.

Yeah, looks like Mont-de-Marsan to me, too.

Speaking of ID'ing videos, anyone know where this is from? I hadn't seen it before —

It's from a French TV show called "Un Sur Cinq" recorded on 28/09/77. The Clash recorded three numbers London's Burning (Soundcheck)/Complete Control/1977. The were interviewed by host Phillipe Manoeuvre. The audio was on the extra EP I posted up a while back with the "Guttersnipes From Garageland" remaster of the self titled album.
