Most of their songs are good

Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead

I'd almost certainly like them more if I'd never heard of this place. I won't say I dislike them, but all the critiques over the years has stained my consciousness when I listen.

I was in this position for a while, but then I realized that everyone on this board is basically like me, and I'm an idiot, so I should probably basically ignore all of us.Dr. Medulla wrote:I'd almost certainly like them more if I'd never heard of this place. What is the difference between this and the Clash Observations thread? Is "hot takes" an American phrase? I've never heard of it.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

A hot take is edgy and usually pretty dumb, more superficial moralizing than reasoned assessment.Heston wrote:What is the difference between this and the Clash Observations thread? Is "hot takes" an American phrase? I've never heard of it.

I got to that point, and then I quit coming here to discuss the band and only came to hang out with the awesome people.Dr. Medulla wrote:I'd almost certainly like them more if I'd never heard of this place.
