Re: Cut the Crap (Redux Edition)

Re: Cut the Crap (Redux Edition)
A lot of it has to do with song placement. The original starting with Dictator was enough to put off any ardent Clash fan. But hey maybe that was Bernie's intention.

Thanks. This will be the first time since it came out that I'll be looking forward to hearing it! Other than the first play, I have never listened to the whole album without either skipping part of the way through a track or skipping tracks completely.

Hello,
Thanks, Marky. It's interesting as an historic piece, pretty listenable, but still not really the Clash to me.

Thanks mate appreciated. If only there were some master tapes or even stems like with London Calling then real fun could be had.coffeepotman wrote: ↑17 Aug 2017, 7:54pmThis is actually a good album, not bad at all. I'm so diggin the new mix!

Listening to this now. As a technical exercise, well done (as usual), Marky. A significant amount of grime has been wiped clean and listening is less of a bombardment of farts and flutz. The music is still, well, CTC, and there's nothing that's gonna fix that.

Re: Cut the Crap (Redux Edition)
Wow. Thanks for this. I'm downloading now and can't wait to listen. I hope the multi-tracks are found, or liberated, one day so this thing could truly be improved to the greatest extent possible -- silk purses and sow's ears and all of that.
