All the last concerts

Post by Red Angel »

The line-up of the Clash have had many variations, not just Clash & Clash II, thereby generating a good set of last concerts:

5 SEP 1976 - The Roundhouse, London --> Keith Levene's last concert
29 NOV 1976 - Lanchester Polytechnic, Coventry --> The first last concert of Terry Chimes
1 JAN 1977 - Roxy Club, London --> Rob Harper's last concert
11 MAR 1977 - Harlesden Coliseum, London --> The second last concert of Terry Chimes
20 MAY 1982 - Lochem Festival, Holland --> Topper Headon's last concert
27 NOV 1982 - Montego Bay, Kingston, Jamaica --> The third last concert of Terry Chimes
28 MAY 1983 - US Festival, San Bernardino --> The last concert of Mick Jones
27 JUL 1985 - Rock in Athens, Greece --> The Clash last concert

Everyone can choose his ideal date, Mick Jones said "The Clash is the three of us, and the two drummers" personally I am tempted to think as he and fix the 27 Nov 1982 as the last concert, the return of the original drummer who closes the circle, but the story goes on with many ups and downs and I take note of it.

Some reason to choose this or that:

1 JAN 1977 - Roxy Club, London
It is probably the date preferred by those who think that "Punk died when the Clash signed for CBS"

11 MAR 1977 - Harlesden Coliseum, London
Will be the one preferred by those who think that the Clash have said everything with the first LP

20 MAY 1982 - Lochem Festival, Holland
It is for those who think that Topper Headon is the only worthy drummer of the Clash

27 NOV 1982 - Montego Bay, Kingston, Jamaica
"The Clash is the three of us, and the two drummers"

28 MAY 1983 - US Festival, San Bernardino
It will surely be the date chosen by those who think that the Clash without Mick Jones are not the Clash

27 JUL 1985 - Rock in Athens, Greece
It is for those who always believe in the Clash, in any line-up.
