Loved this one when I first heard it. It's even better live. Definitely has the STH vibe.

The choir were amazing. They sang to us in the bar after the show. I spoke to one of the guys and he said that was going to be their only appearance, so this was truly unique. It was brilliant when they suddenly appeared from behind the backdrop. I think there was a collective gasp from around the theatre.

Really liking the new album, maybe more than the last one. The drumming is particularly appealing.

Absolutely. Here's another collection of words:

Table salt (spoon hinge)
Octopus (Ukraine)
St. Petersburg (arms)
Ginger beer (cauliflower)
Pat Sajak (PSak)
Lamp post (self evident)
Florida Timeshare (ditto)
Heraclitus (EMI)
Developers (Developers Developers)
Boogie With Your Children

Thinking after a few listens that this album is very good - like the horns, some of the ska related vibe, the male choir and background vocals generally, and just a lot more variety and interesting things going on than the first

I agree this album is a slow burner and way better than the first.

Some of the backing vocals have a Nick Cave vibe, which appeals greatly. A few days on from my last post about this and the disc hasn't left my player. Just an outstanding album, I think.

Same here about the regular playing and agree with Marky’s grower comment (aren’t all the best albums growers, I remember London Calling being that for me). Really looking forward to seeing them again in April.
