Re: London Calling Tribute Band
Hope this helps, I managed to get out to see them last night - although missed the opening songs and walked in on Hateful. Must admit I'm wary of the 'tribute' band thing, but was impressed by this bands attention to detail, energy and musicianship. They clearly love The Clash, and performing the whole London Calling album track by track was a spirited celebration of the songs in a small club, it didn't feel fake. The guitar and bass sound and playing was spookily accurate. A good show for anyone who loves the album, I enjoyed it.
Coincidentally the real Lee Scratch Perry plays the same venue next month

I’be seen some tribute bands (mainly by default) that focus on trying to look and act like the band but the music is crap.

Re: London Calling Tribute Band
You're welcome gents, hope it works out for you. I think they're from Bristol. Noticed they're playing a place called the Watersplash Beach Bar & Diner, Jersey in June - "Good evening. I'm not sure... but I think it's Saturday night in Jersey".
