Even though I know every frame of the two videos, I have to say that the versions you posted are truly exciting.
I remember you were in contact with one of the directors of Rude Boy, but it was never clear whether only these two clips or the entire concert were available.
As said for the show at Lewisham in February 1980, I hope one day CBS/Epic/Sony/Legacy or whatever the hell it's called today, decides to give an official publication of this show.
Thanks to XRCF for involving me in this creation. For the cover photo, thanks also go to Graham from BMC from whom I took the photo just a few days before the entire site went offline. Photo which was then corrected in color following the right suggestion of XRCF himself.
The logo "The Clash" is that of the film "Rude Boy", I think it is the most appropriate one for the concert in question. Maybe I should have specified that it was the 45th anniversary edition.
However, I hope you also like the covers I created.
Happy listening and happy new year to everyone.

Bravo! and thanks to all concerned. Looks and sounds fab.
And I for one love that, er, 'semi-stencilled rubbery sausage' typeface, I don't remember seeing it anywhere else but the 'Rude Boy' credits and promo artwork - and it's perfect for the graphics here.

The choice of the Rude Boy logo was almost immediate.
At the beginning of the internet, the blackmarketclash site didn't yet exist, I followed the theclashzone site of a collector named Jeff Dove. All the live recordings known to exist at the time were listed in chronological order, divided by tour. The three concerts at the Lyceum in late '78 and early 1979 were separate from the "Sort It Out" section of the tour and were called "Rude Boy shows".
Then, that site ceased to exist but in my mind I have always continued to call those three shows that way.
For this reason, the choice of that logo was, let's say, inevitable.

I think I have some pages from that site too, it was a great resource.

Thanks all for the Remaster.

I managed to print the entire site before it disappeared. While, I noticed the part dedicated to bootlegs is still active. http://www.geocities.ws/j-blokhed/

I gave this a listen this afternoon. The problem with mixing pro sourced tracks and a soundboard are obvious. This is why on the GEER box set they are two separate discs.

The restoration on the vids are great. But the audio just doesn't sound right to me. It's perfectly in sync etc but you can clearly here it's been redone in the studio with overdubs. Especially Joe's vocal.

I did however finally find myself in the audience.

Very cool find Marky! I always find myself checking out faces in the audience for shows that I went to, but I've never been able to spot myself or my friends.

Yeah i didn't really know what i should do...
I just liked the idea of a mix that combined the pro tracks and sbd tracks, The intro to Cheapskates is the worst for it because it sounds like it just cuts in but thats how it is on the sbd boot too.

As for the videos, yeah i think i did a good job, and I'm glad you were finally able to find yourself in it!

Edit,

Ill put this here too as its not worth its own thread,
I remastered the Revolution Rock Inst. from the rude boy soundtrack, no more of that tape hiss and strange background noise
