Yes.
Was that in RLGIT or something? I think I have an encyclopedic knowledge of the band, but that's a bit obscure for me.
I think so, maybe mentioned in other books too.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Most of the questions were easy peasy but there was one I didn't get...

What was the name of the Vietnam Vet who the Clash played a benefit for in Feb 1979?

I knew his first name but not his last.

Really? You didn't know his last name?

Yeah, I'd have smacked Mick first too. Go for the low hanging fruit, hope to escape... ;) Paul was/is a dashing sort, no wonder Patti Smith was constantly calling the pay phone at Rehearsals. I don't imagine Paul was eating poster paste when she was about... See, I have read a whole gaggle of Clash books! I blanked on the "geezer with no legs", but Lisson Grove sounds right for the dole office location. M.G.'s LGIT/RLGIT is a virtual encyclopedia of Clash info. Happy Holidays to all, and thanks to those whose hard work keeps this board, and the memory, alive. BasingSt78
