I trust you're jesting as White Lines was a huge club hit before Mick had even left the Clash.TeddyB Not Logged In wrote:Before Mick heard White Lines.white man wrote:OK E. Its working now
Don't be expecting anything like the version we all know and love. The only similarity would be the lyrics.

It's a shame they didn't use any Headon co-compositions on the final album. Even if he wasn't in the band, a few royalties from something as big as TIBAD would have done him a lot of good in that period.Flex wrote:Topper's fingerprints are definitely all over them, it seems to me. Yeah, I don't think a lack of money caused him to be a junkie.Wolter wrote:I dunno. Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

He spent the advance for his solo album on drugs, IIRC. And sold his drumkit, guitars etc.matedog wrote:Yeah, I don't think a lack of money caused him to be a junkie.Wolter wrote:I dunno. In all the commotion today, I forgot to mention how much I loved the new tracks that were uploaded. This band coulda been a contendah.
I'll have updated flac and mp3 downloads tonight.

I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .
