Shit hot, I think you mean.
Depends if you like music or someone angrily shouting like fuck over a cacophony of noise.
I like both because I'm not a fucking soft rock pussy.

That's because you never have, and never will, understand good music.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

True story: we were at a speech and debate event at some high school that Bob Jones sent a team to as well. They were creepy stepford nerds who complained to the judges when we danced in a circle in the quad to Sex and Violence by the Exploited as a team-building exercise.
In their defense it was the Exploited.
Don't be a Heston.
Whichever way you look at it, the Exploited are fucking shit.

Ok.
I also like both. There's great value in either of them for different reasons. I find this to also be true of free jazz vs. bop or extremely modern classical music vs. something from the romantic period.

Same here I could go from folk music or Irish trad to Ministry to some cool soul music which is exactly how it works on my phone I have thousands of so he on my phone and just play it all on shuffle. Sometimes I'll skip a song or two if the .pod isn't right, I like loud aggressive music in the morning when going into work but less so in the evening when I'm chilling and having a beers on the porch.

Everyone here has tastes that are at least somewhat confounding or contradictory in terms of genres. Some people's tastes are more catholic than others, but no one sticks to just one genre. So it's always amusing when the SRP or "good music" better-than-you stones get thrown around.

Yeah but I think it is mostly done for comedic effect anyway, except when everyone but Heston thinks KISS sucks. ;)

If I ever come across that way I'm not being serious. I think sometimes because of the nature of non face to face/in person contact/conversation people can seem more serious than they are.

Same here (mostly, anyway; I've gotten genuinely pissed off with people in the past in periodic taste discussions, but not in a long time).

I'd be offended if anyone ever thought I was seriously throwing around SRP as a real insult.

I mean, Heston likes seriously shit music, and is a massive hypocrite for deciding that the shit he dislikes is somehow worse than the shit he defends, but I mean I'm still fucking around with him.
