Acoustic versions
Re: Acoustic versions
I like Reznor’s instrumental music.
I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

Re: Acoustic versions
He did the music for the new Ken Burns documentary on Vietnam, tho I honestly didn't notice it one way or another.

Re: Acoustic versions
The funny thing is I heard the JC version first so to me it is the original. Part of what seals it for me too is the video he did and Im not a video guy. Cash makes that song his, he makes it about him.

Re: Acoustic versions
I love this version from a NZ TV advert.
Re: Acoustic versions
Nope. His electric stuff isn't nearly interesting enough to justify itself.

Dude, have you ever listened to 'Love & Theft'? Serious question...
EDIT: and what exactly does the phrase "interesting enough to justify itself" mean?

Your small batch honeydew pizzas are causing problems with your musical sense, imho

Re: Acoustic versions
It's strange that my fave Dylan albums are the following three albums after those first four. Each to their own though. I like the first four albums but I wouldn't shout 'judas' . It's the same for me with T. Rex.

Yeah. Didn't like it. Also, his later raspy voice is a turnoff. I prefer the cleaner tone.muppet hi fi wrote: ↑12 Jan 2018, 12:43amDude, have you ever listened to 'Love & Theft'? Serious question...
Pretty self explanatory: I don't find it interesting. Most of it would have been better acoustic. Most of the time I find myself asking why he even went electric if he wasn't going to make full use of it.muppet hi fi wrote: ↑12 Jan 2018, 12:43amEDIT: and what exactly does the phrase "interesting enough to justify itself" mean?

I'm certainly no folk purist—I just don't care about anything after #4.Marky Dread wrote: ↑12 Jan 2018, 7:54amIt's strange that my fave Dylan albums are the following three albums after those first four.
