So just to give this thread a bump, I just gave CTC another listen, don't know why I do these things but to tell the truth, this version is really good, the running order makes it much more palatable. It's still CTC and it still is awful but this time it was just a little lees awful. Thanks Marky, maybe someday I'll be able to get through the whole thing in one sitting, not yet but it's getting closer.

Can we just stop with CTC already, it fuckin sucks & it ain’t gonna ever get any better. I think I listened to the turd once in full & I’ve never listened again, you know why, cus I’m not psychotic & don’t like to punish myself.

Yes, Never!

It gets a little better each time. I honestly have gotten to a point that I quite like the thing.

That makes you the outlier here, my friend.

I think there are some decent songs beneath the cheap drum machines and other distractions - but it is what it is. I don't enjoy listening to it. Marky's version is an improvement - but still. It's not even a fun novelty or a guilty pleasure - it's just obnoxious and cheap and depressing that this was the final statement made by the Clash.

CtC is invaluable. If it didn't exist, would this make a lick of sense?

A Clash-and-a-half if we count Bernie?

It's hard not to as least somewhat like Bernie. It's like the website your weird conspiracy theory believing uncle would have.

I think it has some very good songs and is definitely listenable aside from Dictator and Life Is Wild. It had a lot to live up to but is not as bad as most people make out.

I wouldn't use the word like, but Bernie adds that insane fucknuttery to the whole story. He does end up being kind of the patron saint of this place.
